Theatre Workshop of Nantucket is seeking APPLICANTS FOR the following position(s):
Box Office Associate(s) - (Part-Time)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The key role of this position is to provide ticket and general information to guests face to face at the box office on Main Street and in our theatres. This is an important role as it is the first experience a guest has with Theatre Workshop. The Box Office Associate will take reservations, make exchanges, fulfill orders, troubleshoot orders, and assist with ticket sales and service. Cash handling will be involved. Candidates must enjoy customer service, working with individuals or a group of guests and assisting with events as needed. As a Box Office Associate you will provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, vendors and clients.
BOX OFFICE DUTIES:
Provides guests with up to date information about Theatre Workshop performances and events
Responds to inquiries by theatre guests, and advises them accordingly regarding ticket sales
Identifies, researches, and assists General Manager in resolving guest issues
Follows up on inquiries not immediately resolved
Handles cash on a daily basis
Enjoys customer service and exceeding expectations
Ability to collaborate with numerous team members
Strong written and verbal skills
Candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities in sometimes high stress situations
Experience working in retail (preferred)
Experience working with a reservation or ticketing system (preferred)
Reports to the General Manager. There will be regularly scheduled hours May 10 - September 30. Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Extra hours may be available on an as needed basis September 30 - December 10. Applicants should have a flexible schedule with holiday availability and be willing to work within the scheduling needs of the Theatre.
